Step project aims to demonstrate net energy from fusion in the 2040s.
The UK Atomic energy authority (UKAEA) has started a competition for two successful bidders in a forthcoming tender on 22 May for engineering and construction partners for the UK’s first prototype fusion energy plant, the authority said in a statement 8 May.
